Safety & operation
- Coast Guard-approved life jackets are provided and must be worn at all times on the water.
- The safety lanyard must be attached to the operator whenever the engine is running.
- Follow the briefed ride area, no-wake zones, and posted harbor rules. The Playpen and the Chicago River are completely off limits.
- Reckless riding, jumping boat wake at close range, and riding outside the designated area are grounds for immediate termination of the rental without refund.
- Riders are responsible for damage caused by negligent or prohibited use.
Policy
Arrival & check-in
- Arrive at Diversey Harbor — A Dock at least 45 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
- Late arrivals may lose their reservation, and rental time is not extended for a late check-in.
- Bring the credit card used to make the reservation; one card per jet ski for the dock deposit.
Policy
Deposits, fees & late returns
- Fuel is included in every rental rate.
- No card hold is placed when booking online. At the dock, the card used for the reservation is held during your rental and returned once the jet ski comes back undamaged. Deposits cannot be split across multiple cards.
- Late returns are charged at $5 per minute past the scheduled return time.
- [NEEDS REVIEW] The existing website's FAQ and policies pages describe the deposit and refund terms differently. Confirm the exact deposit amount (if any) and the final refund wording before launch.
Policy
Cancellations & rescheduling

Weather & lake conditions
- Rentals run rain or shine. Skyline Jetski makes the final call when Lake Michigan conditions are unsafe.
- If we cancel your rental for weather or unsafe conditions, you may reschedule or receive a refund.
- Rentals are not cancelled or refunded because a rider decides the weather is not to their taste.
Lake conditions & weather
We monitor Lake Michigan conditions and decide on the morning of your rental. If it isn't safe to ride, we reschedule or refund.
